I saved up and bought a Radeon R9 270 graphics card and also a new Coolermaster extreme 725 power supply (because my old 500 watt could not support the new card). I installed the new card and power supply but when I try to start up the pc not much happens. My monitor as well as my mouse and keyboard is non responsive. All cables are correctly placed. I switched back to my old card and everything is back to normal. I have considered the possibility that the the new card and my motherboard (Intel dp45sg) isn't compatible but could not find much info on the internet.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Update: my pc is extremely laggy now as well. Still have the old card in, just the new power supply. I have no idea what could cause it to lag so badly.
