have been using open office if i bought microsoft office would i still be able to open all saved documents

If I convert all of my Open/Libre documents to MS WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT formats, everything converts for my work on Office 2003 all the way to 2013. Open-Libre have done a pretty great job on that. The Excel formulas were critical, as were some of the .DOCs because those are user manuals with screen-caps and word-balloons.
