Do I still need a Firewall Policy if I set up wireless security (WEP)?

I got a Motorola Sbg900 and I know the value of setting up security. But setting up the different security options are bewildering. I had a wireless router before but everything came prefigured for security. I did find a manual online so I am not in the dark completely. I really do not need hand holding but any good online sources would be helpful.

The firewall protects your PC from hackers on the internet; wireless security protects you and your data from hackers getting in through your wireless signal. Also, WEP security is all but useless as anyone with a laptop or PC can hack it in less than 5 minutes with free programs on the web. You really need to use WPA wireless security if possible, as well as making sure your firewall is working.
