Hello guys, this is my first post, i`ve been following this site for years whenever i need an opinion on everything about pc.
Now, i have intel pentium g620 (2 cores, 2 threads, 2.6 GHz) on this motherboard :http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=1228&CategoryID=1&MenuID=103
I`ve read online that i can update bios to support i7 but a have couple of questions about this:
1) will this have the same (or maybe close) performance as a regular MB that has Z77 or whatever chipset that supports ivybridge out of the box

2)will i be able to put back the old processor g620 after, because i plan to sell the motherboard and that processor when i buy new motherboard

thx in advance

Solution
The cpu performance will be the same as the z77, however you will not be able to overclock and miss out on some of the motherboard features offered online.
