I have it at 4.4 with 1.080 stable on prime95. But once I take it to 4.5 I get bluescreens even if I have the volatge at 1.16. So is it a bad chip, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

Clock speed for the Intel CoreI5 2500K is 3.3 GHz. Overclocking is not a sure science. Some 2500ks will overclock to 5.0GHz others can only go to 3.4GHz. It's only a bad chip if it's not stable at it's normal clock speed.

Old Joke --
Me "Doc, it hurts when I do this ..."
Doc "Don't do that."

Be happy with 4.4 that is a 33% overclock.
