EVGA NVIDIA GTX 750 SC 1215MHz 1GDDR5 vs Sapphire R7 260X 2GDDR5

Solution
The performance is pretty close in most games so the 260X is a better price/performance being cheaper and all. That psu should be able to drive the 260X no problem so either it is bunk or the problem is somewhere else.

I have a CX500M. However I've been getting BSOD sometimes with the 0xa00001 error. So I'm thinking of returning the R7 260X and getting a new card. Would the MSI GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 be any better? Is it worth the extra £25?

If you think your PSU is failing, it's better to replace the PSU than the video card. The CX500 should run the R7 260X fine, so if it's not then some part is defective.

The GTX 750 Ti averages roughly 5 fps faster than the R7 260X, more in PhysX titles.

I've been using a molex to PCIE cable to power the card. Could that be the problem? Also, on startup I see the fan spin and then stop and it does this about 3 times until it starts spinning properly and that's when the card boots up, is this normal?

Thanks to everyone for your replies, I really appreciate it.

I doubt it's failing as it's not that old. I hope it isn't :(

Unfortunately I lost the PCIE connector as it's modular. I guess I'll just buy another.
