Just wanted to see what the community thought about buying 2nd hand graphics cards.
It is too risky? If it's not, what are some things to watch out for when buying it.

Here is the one that peaked my interest

Not worth it. Its a reference design so it will be hotter. You can get it for just $40 more completely new, with a FULL 1 year warranty, and from a good manufacturer here:

If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to ask.

There is always a high risk in buying 2nd hand that it will not perform well or it was abused before.

Here is a solution when buying 2nd hand graphics card.

1. Ask for the warranty (usually within days like 10~20 days).
2. During this days, stress test your GPU (1 day is Ok to verify its capability.)
3. Play your games in maxed settings.

If GPU doesn`t fail then it is a good buy.

I own 2nd GPU and its worth it if you have a bit bigger brain. :)
Cheers!
