I turn my CPU on, all fans and lights are on like usual. The monitor however is not taking a signal from the CPU, and neither is the mouse who's red optical light is not emitting. I have sprayed out the dust from inside the CPU, and have removed and replaced the battery from the motherboard. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have not unplugged anything. This computer is a couple of years old, it just stopped working all of a sudden. Actually, when I plug in the mouse to the rear usb port, the optic lights up for a split sec while pushing it into the outlet, but immediately shuts back off.

Sorry, I couldn't be of more use to you.

I'm not 100% sure it's the same issue but 5 Years ago I had a similar issue and the problem was the usb ports themselves were short-circuiting the board. A temp fix for me was to plug the 24pin ATX in and out but it would happen again as soon as you attempt to plug in a usb ended up just replacing the board.

I unplugged everything from the MOBO and plugged it back in. My computer is now working. I am still unsure what the real problem is however.
