Off-Centre Screen During BIOS and CD Boot

The easiest way to describe what I mean is by showing you





As you can see, the image is completely off centre. Once windows boots however it will go back to normal.
Its not a major problem as I can still use my PC, its just a nightmare to try edit bios settings or run from a live cd of any kind because you cant see what you're doing.

I am using hdmi cable. cant test DVI as i dont have a dvi to vga convereter at the minute.

Anyone any ideas on how to centre my screen?
The problem is not with the monitor as far as i can tell
