What should I upgrade?

Its been a year since I got my computer and it still holds out on high/ultra settings for 2k res, but what should I upgrade one year on?

2 x MSI HD 7950 Twin Frozr III Boost Edition 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **NEW REVISION**

1 x Gigabyte Z87X-OC Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard

1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW)

1 x 1TB HD

1 x Samsung Blu ray rewriter

One year on we cannot say because new stuff will be out. Sometimes in the computer world future-planning is not best.

If you already happy with your pc, you don't need to upgrade really. You could spend money to decorate your case with LED fans or LED strips. Alternatively get a new keyboard, mouse or mouse mat.

Only thing worth upgrading would be the graphics card, and even that is still pretty good. Bump that 4770k to at least 4.0ghz. Just set CPU multiplier to 40, leave everything else alone.

An R9 290 or 290x would be a good upgrade, given the resolution you are playing. If the titles you play support CF well, another HD 7950 would be a good, less expensive, upgrade.

You will be fine upgrading to a GTX 980 but the GTX 970 would probably be fine at 1080p.

Have you read the GTX 970/GTX 980 reviews yet?
The GTX 970 is a great card for a single 1440p monitor so it will be fine at 1080p.
