P67A GD65 stuck in a reboot loop. Looking for a fix or replacement suggestion

My P67A-GD65 MB had been working without issues for almost 2 years now. Live Update indicated there is a new bios update. I initiated the update by extracting the files on a USB drive. It was progressing smoothly but after it rebooted again, in less than a second powered off. It tried to reboot again automatically and again powered off right away. After doing this several times, I turned off the power supply switch. I'm wondering why MSI would release a bios update that renders the MB completely unusable for such an old MB. It had been a solid MB and no hardware changes had taken place recently. It's stuck in endless reboot cycle. MSI will fix it for 45$ and not sure how much it cost to ship it but I don't want to give any more $ to msi.

I have
i7 2600k CPU,
8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 RAM,
AMD HD 6850 GPU

and am looking for a MB that I can replace the msi MB with. Will ASRock Z77 Extreme4 work? Any other options anyone can suggest?

Thanks

Thanks. Good savings. Only thing I will lose is eSata but it's not a must have. Had forgot to mention that I have the Hyper 212+ cooler. Not sure if that'll pose any issues or not with this MB. Also I'm guessing I'll need new thermal paste or does it stay good for 2+ years?
