Hi,

Just finished my first build! When I press boot though, my monitor tells me that there is a CPU fan error. The CPU fan is not turning either. I have connected the CPU fan to the motherboard correctly. I am using a Hyper 212 Evo, Intel i5 processor and an Asus motherboard. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've seen people saying that a fix is to change the fan speed from 600 to 400 in the BIOS, but I'm not sure how to do that.

Do you have your 8 pin CPU power plugged into the board.

If so the cooler might be slightly off , make sure it is installed evenly and flush to the CPU.
