Ungh! Removing a pcie card and the tippy right corner won't budge. I see no clips, only the black slot where it fits in.

It's a Gateway Fx471p-Ub003a

I hope I haven't broke anything. =/

Some motherboards have a sliding tab, others have a simple plastic snap and some might have something else but most do have a little something to prevent PCIE x16 cards from popping out of the slot at the inner end of the slot.

Okay I found the tab and tried to push up but the card still won't budge. Do I need to try and push the card back in first?

Slide it away from the card. Make sure you've unscrewed the screws at the expansion slot/video port end. Remove the power supply connectors.

Well. Got it out. The slot on the new card is smaller. Now I don't know what to do! I can't get the old card back in.

I had a Evga get 220 and was told to buy the Asus get 630, but the plug part is about an inch shorter than the slot on my computer.

I've got no idea what cards you're talking about. Old? New?

Everything is old. eg the pcb could have swollen from moisture absorption.

I'd recommend updating your PC - new mobo, cpu etc.
