Is the desktop attached to one of the routers network ports or does it connect wirelessly?

It is connected to router port no. 1, desktop doesn't access over IP 192.168.1.1, then I connected all 4 ports one after the other but nothing worked.(desktop set to automatically detect IP) When I connect this router to my laptop there is no issue..
