Just completed my new pc build and realized I made the mistake of installing 32 bit windows instead of 64 bit windows. How can I fix this? I have 64 bit processor (i7 4970k) and want to make sure I get the most out of my operating system.

System doesn't have optical drive so I copied install disc to flash drive. Need to either completely erase my hard drive (Samsung EVO 240g SSD) or, just reinstall the 64 bit 8.1 over the 32 bit.

Solution
there should be an option when installing win8 to format the drive.that should get rid of any data on the drive.make sure to delete all partitions as well.so i take it you are installing from usb?go into the boot menu and set the first boot device to usb.when the install screen comes up do a clean install and delete the partitions.dont know what they call that in win8 but in win7 its called a custom install.should be something similar.
