Recently Re-Installed Recover profile on other HDD?

Hi all,
To clarify my topic, I have been running a 2 hard drive installation of Windows 7. I had the OS running off of a 64 GB Intel SSD and the user accounts were stored on a 2 TB Seagate HDD, and recently have been having some issues with lockups and freezing that aren't causing a blue screen or error in any logs.
So I figured with my user profile being on a different hard drive, I could re-install and access my user account right away. I, of course, was wrong. Is there anyway I can get Windows 7 to recognize the account again? I'm sitting in audit mode of the new installation in hopes of a registry pointer saving the day upon finalization. Let me know what I can do if you have an idea.
Thanks,
Akwonder

Are you just looking to backup and restore your user accounts?

If so, what you do is login on your new windows with the users you want to restore so windows creates the profiles. You can do this under the Control Panel -> User Accounts.

Then copy from the "Users" on you old drive to the users in your new drives users. you will need to do each user one at a time. Also don't forget to turn on all hidden files through the Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View tab.

Be aware that there will be shortcuts that may not work because of programs no longer being installed. You will need to install you Microsoft Office and other apps first.

Unfortunately no, I have a pre-existing user account from my previous installation, it has all my data, my installations, and other things. I did not backup before the new installation, so right now all I have is a shiny new installation on the SSD and all my programs and data from the previous installation on the HDD. Windows doesn't recognize the profile on the HDD, I'm guessing because it was created by a different installation of Windows 7. I'm trying to get the new install to recognize that profile. I'll see if backup and restore will restore the profile, but without having created a backup or anything of the profile I don't have much confidence in it.
Thanks for the suggestion,
