Good morning, community! I apologize beforehand.. I'm from Argentina and my English's a bit rusty.

Well, I'm having the following issue:

My computer keeps shutting down while using intense graphic games, such as Assassin's Creed IV, Watch Dogs, etc. What really concerns me is that, when the PC shuts down, the VGA's cooler goes up to 100%, and it keeps that speed (and noise..) even while the computer's off. Although, in some occations, it simply shuts down, no extreme cooling.

For example: I start playing "Forest" (really nice survival FPS), which practically abuses the VGA. Keep playing for 10-15 minutes and suddenly, PC shuts down while the cooler goes to the maximum (and usually startles me).

Any ideas of what could be going on?

Here are my PC specs:
CPU: AMD FX-6100 Six-Core Processor @ 3.3GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR3
MOBO: ASUS M5A88-M
VGA: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (ZOTAC International)
OS: Windows 8 Pro 64bit
PSU: Sentey Brp600 600W

Note #1: I know it's VGA related. This problem started after I changed my trusty old 430GT for this one.
Note #2: I tried logging the activity of the VGA (temperature, fans, clocks, etc), but found nothing unusual.

Thanks in advance!

PSU is poor, and probably the voltage is dipping as the PSU gets warm.

There is no significant increase in GPU`s temperature?
The reason why the fans are in 100% is to cool the GPU.
Stating that , your GPU get`s too warm and for your GPU not to be damage, your system turns it off to avoid burning it.

run the program and let it do a clean safe mode uninstall for nvidia. if you ever had an amd card installed do that too. then reinstall the latest nvidia drivers.

at least we can rule out the display driver conflicting and causing a fatal error and shutting down.

if not this this sounds like a power supply issue.

That is a weak psu. I would change it even if it wasn't the issue.

Well, you guys mentioned several times that it sounds like a PSU issue. Although I was hoping it wasn't, because my wallet is kinda thin nowadays!

Anyways, what power supply would you reccomend for my computer? 750W?

a good quality 500W would be preferable to a poor 750W. what can you afford at 500, give us the options and we'll help you select.

being from argentina, you may have to let us know what websites you can order from without having to deal with excessive shipping costs.

otherwise i would say the xfx bronze rated 550w power supply is plenty and basically the go to quality power supply for those on a budget.
