I'm building a workstation PC for heavy video editing, (lots of 1080p video) photo editing (I do freelance graphic design) and music production. I have a rough idea of the parts I want to get but don't want to go out and spend more money then I need too or buy the wrong hardware. Some feedback would be greatly appreciated!

1. I don't plan on doing ANY gaming.
2. I plan on overclocking
3. I need to use adobe applications with ease.
4. I need to be able to render 1080p video.
5. Budget is $2,500
6. Goal is for a PC that is extremely fast and runs smoothly all the time.

Here are the parts I was thinking. Let me know if I'm wrong.
CPU: Intel i7 5930K
Motherboard: ??
Case: Corsair 750D
Ram: ??
GPU: Quadro k2000?
PSW: Corsair 850w
Sound card: ??
OS: Windows 7 or Linux
Storage: 256GB samsung 850 pro series SSD, Seagate 1TB HHD

K2000 is pretty good. i have one. it gives you about 60% of the performance of the AMD W7000 at about 60% of the price when it comes to video work. the K2000 shines in 3D modeling like autocad where it keeps up with cards that costs 2x as much.

850 watt PSU is super overkill. 500 watts will run 2 of them at the same time.

as far as the motherboard goes, anything will do. they are all good. i like the EVGA X99 FTW. it's $300 and feature packed. that's as cheap as X99 motherboards will go for the next few months.

if you want a better sound card you can get the EVGA X99 classified ($400) or Gigabyte X99 Gaming G1 wifi ($350). they have nice sound processors already built in. if you want studio quality sound cards then you should...
