Hi all,

Having a bit of a problem here. I'm building a budget rig with a GAF2A55MHD2 and a CX 600. The motherboard has an 8 pin next to the apu, but the pins on the CPU wires of the PSU don't match. (please see pics below for clarification :)  )

Thanks!

It should fit, don't know what you're doing wrong. The clip on the cord should be facing towards the CPU.

yes i have seen them yes those pins are for those socket what is the problem your should see there is a bulde edge on the side of the socket and a clip on the pins you should match them and push then you can hear a click .

We've had reports of the CX600 having badly molded connectors - the 24 pin though. Don't overdo it. If it doesn't fit, RMA the PSU. Get a better quality one eg Seasonic.

Thanks for your answers, it just wasn't going in but I persisted and it went in! I believed that some of the 'D' shaped pins were stopping it going into the 'square' pins but apparently not :)
