Noctua NT-H1 is one of the best thermal paste out there on the market. It is great and at a affordable price.

Actually i used it on my h100i. i did the pea and the line method. I get 86deg c at 4.4ghz 1.32v. I also fixed the loose mount that asrock mobos have for h100i and still always beyond 80deg

Maybe you did not apply it properly. The best way is to do a criss cross pattern.

I'm a personal fan of IC Diamond. I don't know if my 3 year-old tube of Arctic Silver went bad or what but IC Diamond dropped my temps by about 5 degrees.

The best thermal solution that I've HEARD of is Indigo Xtreme (though I think they have a new version as wel). Tricky to apply though but crazy performance or so I've heard.

Most reputable brand-name Thermal Compounds will perform within a couple degrees of one-another - within the margin of error. Feel free to pick one, and stick with it.

I, personally, use Arctic Cooling MX-4. I have a heatsink collection that I like to test on a variety of platforms, so I use a lot of it.

MX4 is the best on the market.
