So recently, i just bought the MSI GTX 750 TI Twin Frozr 2GB, and i researched that this card needs a 400 watt power supply and 20 amps. My computer has a 550 power supply BUT this power supply came with the computer, so i dont really know if i can trust the power supply. But this powersupply has 42amps on the +12v rail. will this gpu run?

In order to know for sure need to know the rest of your system specs and the exact make and model of PSU would help. On the side of the PSU should be who made it like Corsair CX 400 or something similar. Someone can get you good advice with that info.

If you what you stated it has on the 12 v rail is correct then you should be fine the 750 Ti actually doesn't use a lot of power. The geforce website actually only says it requires 300 watt PSU and knowing that it doesn't use much power you should be fine and good to go your system won't draw a lot. That card peak only pulls 68 watts.
