HD LED stays on

I cloned my HDD to a Samsung 840 evo SSD and the computer boots from the SSD and runs fine, but the HD LED stays on. The LEDs are connected correctly on the mobo. I simply swapped out the SSD for the HDD, did what I had to do to make the SDD the boot disk and it works great, but the LED comes on when the bios discovers the HD's and stays on. Any suggestions?

A HDD indicator reflects disk activity. I've imaged and cloned several HDD's and HDD's to SSD conversions and never saw this kind of activity. Try running a hard drive diagnostic utility. You didn't say wether the SSD is new or not so it could be a problem with the drive itself. It could be a virus, or some process running in the background. Run a virus scan if you haven't already. I know you mentioned it, but go back into BIOS and make sure that your SSD is the primary disk. Check your boot order. I always set the floppy or optical drive (if no floppy) as the first boot device.

I know you said you pinned the case header, but double check it for proper pinout to the HDD indicator.

That's all I can think of...
