I have a VGA monitor, so I bought a VGA to DVI-I adaptor sa I can plug it in my GFX card but the DVI-I port on my GTX 660 is already ocupied by my main monitor and the only port that I have left is a DVI-D one.
The question is if I plug the VGA cable from my monitor into the DVI-I adaptor and then the adaptor into a DVI-I to DVI-D adaptor will it work?

Generally, no. DVI-D is a digital only format which obviously won't drive the older style analog signal VGA connector. What you would need to do to get it to work is get an active converter box - those can be a little pricy.
