Are my computer parts compatible? / Is this a good build? / Any suggestions?

I am looking for a build that will last me a long time and be able to handle complicated math and statistics programs as well as high powered calculators.

Mobo - Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150

All your parts look good. If you are planning to overclock a lot then you might think about the Noctua NH-D14 cooler. if you will only be doing some light overclocking then the 212 is fine. Make sure it fits in your case though as those coolers are BIG.

The power supply is larger then you need but if you are planning to add a GPU or upgrade your GPU down the line then it helps to have the headroom.

Very nice build and all is compatible. I have no suggestions for improving except possibly a 128 gig ssd for the os. Nice job!
