Hello guys, how are you? I just bought a new GPU which requires two 6 pin PCI-E cables. My PSU only provides one so I bought a PCI-E adapter while waiting to buy a new PSU.

Now I need to know how to procceed:

I tried installing the new GPU with just the single 6 pin PCI-E. Everything turned on but when I booted the computer I heard 4 beeps (1 continuous beep and 3 short beeps). I read the MOBO manual and it means that "No VGA detected". Is that because I didn't use both PCI-E slots (not enough power) or because I didn't uninstall my current GPU drivers?

Yeah because you didnt plug in both power connectors.

This is what I'm thinking of doing:

Uninstalling my HD 7770 drivers and downloading my R9 270X's without installing. Then I open the case, replace the cards and plug the PCI-E and the PCI-E adapter. Would I be able to get image on my monitor?

Yes, drivers make no difference, you will still get a screen, just low resoultion.
