how can I overclock a gainward nvidia geforce gt 610 gpu

I have a gainward nvidia geforce gt 610 gpu and I want to overclock it for a better gaming experience. I have a intel core i3 processor , 2gb ram ,500gb hard disk, and windows 8.1 pro.Is there any software that can do it safely o its own

either install MSI Afterburner or Nvidia's own overclocking utility (I prefer MSI afterburner since it's newer). Then once you have either one installed, slowly push the clock speed up in 10mhz increments until it freezes or temps are too high. Then lower it 10mhz and save the profile. Then do the same thing with the memory.
