Please what are writting cycles of a SSD disk? how i can count how many writing cycles i need, while i have anlinux server with 7k rpm sata (i has average read write around 2Mb/s and uing 100% of transactions per second..?

are writing cycles about IOPS or about data size?

is there any simple calculation of what is wear rate of a ssd disk?

thank you

Get some Samsung 850 Pros. They have the new 3d NAND which promises much greater endurance and longevity, plus they have a 10 year warranty.
Inside of an SSD are modules like on RAM. So just picture black rectangles. These store the data. They can only be erased and have data written to them a certain number of times. After that, they break. So this could be seen as a calculation of how long it will take the SSD to wear down. Though it is commonly accepted now that this number has reached a high enough level that it will be several years before it would break down.
