Thanks, what I dont get is why this is a better PSU when it is bronze certified and the other is gold certified?

Because the manufacturer makes better psus and it just means gold is more efficient, it'll only save you like 5 pounds on energy bills a year with a gold rated psu than a bronze, so it doesn't matter

Ok cheers people. I'm just looking for a 650w-750w PSU that is either fully or semi modular that can handle my build (with overclocking) without any problems.

Im also looking in the £60-£80 price range

The one I put in your build is semi modular and can handle your system with oc

Thanks but as I live in Ireland the delivery will add a bit extra on to the overall price when purchasing from UK stores. Im wondering if there is maybe a better unit for more money that I could get on amazon(as they offer free delivery on most items)

What do you think of the Corsair CS650M? The PSU you mentioned is not in stock with amazon.

But the XFX you mentioned is better, right? Is it £10 better?

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Corsair/CS650M/4.html

its all in its platform build quality is it 1st tier all the way or 1st and 2ed tier or 2ed and 3ed tier ??

check the dissembles reviews and see whats put in them

That means we get a real mix of capacitors inside and anyone looking for the well-known and respected 105°C brands will need to look elsewhere.

for the money it looks like the evga ''G2'' units and the ones to look at today for the price ''

one more point I will make is that I cant spend on nice parts and the go sub standered on this item the psu needs to be as solid as the rest of the build and not go cheap and risk my $300 vid card on one that's ''cheap'' made or cost and have what I post below happen

Choosing the right PSU is an important decision for the enthusiast because it is the backbone of any system. Buying an inferior, no-frills unit brings with it many consequences – some of which can be catastrophic. I’ve personally read of many stories of various individuals who have been strapped for cash and gone down this route, these cheaper units can often blow and when they do, they will take everything with it. So you may think spending all of your money on the core components like CPU, GPU, motherboard and then very little on the PSU is a good thing – this may change when it goes up in smoke!
