tl;dr: I want good performance in games which AMD Turbo Core provides. It takes CPU to 4.2Ghz when it requires a boost. Should I keep using it or should I disable it and manually overclock to 4.2Ghz with cool & quiet enabled?

Config
FX-8350
AsRock 990FX Extreme 4
HD 7850 2GB
K281 case
Hyper 212x cooler

Environment
Ambient temp: 29C
Cool & Quiet: Off
Turbo Core: Disabled
Clock: Stock (4 Ghz)
VCore: 1.3 (Stock)

Result of P95 test for 10 minutes

I changed VCore to 1.2875 and it's stable, there's some decrement in above temp after it.

Now if I turn on Turbo Core, (with cool & quiet enabled) I get good fps (90 to 130) in BF3 (keeping minimal processor state in power option to 50%) and CPU goes to 4.2 Ghz when it requires a boost. And at that time I noticed the highest Vcore was 1.4 and core temp: 48.8, socket temp: 67C.

My question is that is this a good way? Or should I disable Turbo core and manually set it to 4.2Ghz with Cool & Quiet enabled so that in games it goes up to 4.2Ghz and underclocks when in normal load. The advantage of AMD Turbo core is that it boosts only some cores not all. Guide me what should I do?

What's wrong if it goes to high voltage? AMD has made this, I think they took care of it. Moreover I played for about 30 minutes and core temp didn't go above 48C and socket temp didn't go above 67C which is under safe limit.

I was not saying it is anything wrong with it, though as I understood it, you saw it as a problem... Misunderstanding from my part, reread it. I would say that you seem to know some about it yourself, so go ahead and what you want man :)
