Updates don't affect 'drag in drop' in every part of Windows. It sounds like SINCE yesterday you finally clicked the 100,000th time on the mouse left clicker and finally BOOM it doesn't work as well as it did yesterday. Try a different mouse and see if it still doesn't "drag and drop" which your not saying 'where' or 'what' your trying to drag and drop to / from.
