I just built this pc last tuesday, and it ran like a dream. the gpu handled titanfall on all the settings on high. I run tomb raider once on ultimate graphics and run a benchmark, and now all my games artifact and crash. what is up with that
???

Solution
try what i did, here i will give you the link too: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-catalyst-14-4-whql-%2814-100-april-17%29-download.html

Download just the driver, absolutely nothing else. no control nothing. Control center made mine buggy and crash just like yours, but black screen crash requiring hard reboot.

Have you tried this? If not do so, also this driver here was stable for me as well: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-catalyst-13-12-whql-download,4.html

Let me know if this helps at all.

I'm no expert on AMD cpu's but I think it is possible that it is bottlenecking. Don't take my word on that. The card should run those games on ultra easy. What resolution/size monitor are you using?

i fixed mine by slightly underclocking the card and trying different power rails. Try it and see if it runs stable for you. If it does then that i think will mean the drivers and card is ok. For me it ended up being a wonky power rail on a low grade PSU.

i apologize, i think artifacting and vertical lines and black screens are different. i have the vertical lines and black screen problem.
it flickers then shows vertical lines but i can still hear the game. but i have to restart the pc

Ok, let`s start a refresh here and do this step by step.

1. Uninstall AMD drivers using DDU. (search in the inernet)
2. Run DDU in safe mode.
3. Uninstall your GPU in the device manager.
4. Run CC cleaner to clean files.
5. Run CC cleaner to fix registry.
6. Reinstall AMD drivers (14.4 or 14.7 beta)

Installing Catalyst (AMD) drivers multiple times is not good.

Post if you still have problems.

my computer crashed hard yesterday. i mean hard. so bad, that i had to wipe both drives in cmd and reinstall windows and redownload everything. (thank god for steam and origin cloud) But so far things have been running ok on regular cloccked settings with the fans turned up to 80-90%. i will come back to this option if i encounter another problem. (unfortunately titanfall has been downloading since 3 and is still downloading lol)

Of course. Try the steps that i mentioned before:

Update: have you done this?
