Optiboost doesn't improve your graphics card in a laptop, it's just their misleading marketing term for 'semi-custom system configuration'. They offer a range of hardware that is all designed to be interchangeable in their chassis, so you can order the processor, video card, memory and storage options that you want, not just the pre-configured options. The chassis range is the first option which dictates the screen, keyboard etc I believe.
