What programs will you be running as a Architecture Visualizer?
Do you want to game on it at all?

Everything looks good except for the hard drive.
120 gigabytes sounds small for what you are doing.
If you really want the 120 gigabyte ssd you could use that for your OS and working space for creating your media.
Then back it up to a 1+ terabyte hard drive.

Your graphics card isnt a workstation card but that is ok because those cost $1000s of dollars by themself.
Autocad and 3ds Max do not seem to care which graphics card you have as long as it is modern.
Don't see photoshop or After effects on the charts.
Your Geforce 750 ti isnt mentioned in the charts below but it should perform just below the 760.
If you want to wait a few months nvidia is coming out with a new desktop graphics card series.
They are skipping from 700 series straight to 900 series.

If you arent planning to overclock you dont need to buy the i7-4790K
Just get the i7-4790 ... the i7-4790K is the overclocker's cpu.
Saves about $30

Just built this in pcpartpicker

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wnstkL

Had to bring the processor down to a still respectable i7-4790 ...no k.

An aftermarket cooler isn't needed if you are not overclocking. Although if you really want one the Cooler Master Hyper 212X Cooler is only about $30 extra.

Motherboard is a few months old but still awesome. Full disclosure: I use it on my rig

Memory I had to reduce to 8 gigabytes. No way i could have kept 16 gigabytes and stayed in budget.

For storage I had to ditch the expensive ssd and just got a 3 terabyte hard drive.

Your graphics card is a geforce 750 ti as requested.

The case is good. I built a computers for a friend using that case.

PSU is good

Optical drive isnt needed if you can find a way to get Windows on the computer without it.

And the os is windows 8. You can also install windows 7 if you like it better ... like most.

$976.90 on newegg

Ignore the warning on pcpartpicker about
"Asus Z87-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports."

It does indeed have front panel usb 3.0 ports. You can see them on newegg.
