If any of you guys know anything about wiring up leds could you please help me. I know nothing about circuits and electronics and could really use some help.
Im building a model ship and i want to wire up some leds.
I have 12v leds, correct wire and power supply but i really could use some advice as to how to do it.
I want the interior lights on one switch, the deack lighting on one switch and the navigation lights on another switch. I want all three sets of lights to connect to the same power supply. Any ideas how i can do it in terms a moron can understand lol. Ive seen loads of circuit drawings but none of them make any sense to me at all. The only experience i had with electronics is wiring up my pc and a program on an old pc in primary school.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

thanks in advance

james

I hope this will shine some light on it.

just add a switch after each set of LEDs and it is close to what you wanted.

you will need to calculate the resister size based on the LED specs.
