Welp, this is my last resort. This is a nuisance that has been bothering me for about a month now, and I'm still trying to get rid of it. When there's a grey/dark background on my screen(whether i'm playing a game or on a website), I'll notice horizontal lines across my screen and they're flickering. Sometimes I can even notice it on a lighter background, and it can be very annoying when I'm playing a game or trying to watch a movie.
Here's what I've tried:
- Uninstalling/Re-installing multiple different graphics drivers(even in safe mode).
- Doing a system restore.
- Using another VGA cable(I'm using it through a DVI to VGA adapter)
- Updating Windows.
- Using another monitor.
- Updating my monitor drivers.
- Completely reformatting my hard drive and re-installing windows 8.1
My specs:
MOBO: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-4350
GPU: GTX 750 TI
PSU: 650w/MODULAR
RAM: 8GB
OS: WINDOWS 8.1 SYSTEM BUILDER OEM
I just built this PC 2 months ago, and everything was fine. I would get a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION bluescreen once in a while, but fixed it by updating my drivers. I really don't know if this is my hardware or software.
Can someone please help me out?
