Alright guys, I'm actually in a very bad position within my mind in between choosing these two processors. I'm building a computer mainly for gaming, more so MMOs other than anything else but I may play other types of games on there. Not Fps though. I've done my research and most sites say that these two processors are about the same in power except one can hyperthread(obvious choice lol). I plan to do a bit of multitasking while I'm gaming, like watching YouTube or chatting, all the gamer crap. I plan to couple either the i5 or the i7 with the GTX 760 so any advice?

With a GTX 760 I5-4690k is all you need. I7 is not recommended for gaming rigs, is way more powerful.
Take a I5-4690k and a cheap CPU Cooler like hyper 212 evo and u will be fine.
You will not have problem with this multitask. They recommend I7 for multitask but they mean if u have 5-6+ heavy programs open in the same time.
Trust me i have used I7 in games and its pointless. CPU Usage always below 30-40%

Not true. Crysis 3 and BF4 can push an i7 to well over 50% CPU usage.

I have a friend with an Athlon X4 640 3.0ghz CPU which is a 3 years old CPU and cost around ~60$ with GTX780 and he is playing BF4 in ultra with CPU usage 100%.

So ? He is playing BF4 in ultra with a 60$ 3 years old CPU.
I guess I5-4690k sounds great now...

Thank you for the answers everyone. I appreciate them. What makes it meh is that the i7 is only 80 bucks higher. I was planning to use the EVO as a cooler anyway, for now.
