I will be buying that cpu cooler tomorrow to replace with my current CM V6GT.

Im intending to do this upgrade due to high voltage overclocking as my current i5 4670k chip only gets stable with 1.280v @ 4.4ghz.

What temps should i expect with this cooler under heavy load ?

Pc case is CM Storm Stryker.

Thanks all.

The problem I've found with the ALL IN ONE water coolers, is that while they keep the chip cool, and they do, they can't keep the VRM's cool. When you have a traditional heatsink and fan, is that a big block of copper helps absorb ambient air that the VRM's give off. The fan's also help more that hot air from the VRM's away from the CPU and the VRM's to the back of the case where hopefully an exhaust fan can take it out. With a water cooler, all that is gone. Yes, the heat from the CPU is taken away quickly, and they work good in that sense. But overclocking and adding that voltage, that's all VRM's and they get seriously heated.

It's a love/hate thing with them. Doing it over, I would have gotten a good heatsink air cooler for 1/3rd the price of my AIO cooler and got a better GPU.

If you overclock it correctly and you get a cooler that is generally good (meaning Corsair doesn't send you a crap product)
I have read that it may not go above 70 degrees C. Although I have seen a few consumers saying that they had a flawed product, going above 80 and 90 C. Honestly, 70 degrees C is pushing it a bit. I would imagine that 4.4 Ghz is pretty damn good. In this case I would either go with a different CPU, don't clock this one any higher and stay the same, or get a custom water loop or something like that.
