I have a msi ge70 with a Nvidia geforce gtx 860m running on windows 8.1
About a month ago, I started noticing problems with games like skyrim (graphics heavy) and other games, they would all have wierd pixels around the screen that would flicker, and some games had messed up graphics. I contacted nvidia and after reinstalling my graphics drivers, it still would not work. They said msi had a manufacturing error with my graphics card, as they modify it to fit in this notebook. I was wondering if I could get some insight into this and possibly a fix.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that some games, like terraria and game dev tycoon, do not have these wierd graphics, which leads me to believe the integrated graphics are working but not the gtx 860.

More about : graphics card working

Much more of a driver problem man. I experience bad driver support in mobility. ZZZ running on GX60 and I can`t update my drivers into the latest.

You can try updating your drivers if you like. But I do not recommend. :(

You can open Nivida control panel and check that the discrete graphics card is working for any particular game or program, and not the integrated graphics. It will let you go through the list of installed programs and let you pick and set it however you want. It does sound like that may be whats happening. Otherwise I would be sending that computer back to MSI for an RMA. I RMA'ed a graphics card with MSI once and it went very smoothly and I got the card in less than a week.
