Hello everyone,

I am about to build my second pc! :)  I will be using the pc mainly for gaming.
After doing some research (mainly on this website), I've come up with the following build:

Case
Fractal Design R4

PSU
To be determined

Motherboard
ASRock Z97 Extreme4

GPU
Sapphire Radeon R9 290X 4GB TRI-X

CPU
Intel i5-4670K

CPU Cooling
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo

RAM
G.Skill Ripjawsz 16GB (4x4GB) 2133MHz CL9

SSD
Samsung 840 Evo 250GB

I still have my old HDD's and Optical drive, so I won't be needing new ones.
My question is: are any of the components I picked overkill, or even underkill?
Also, I'm not sure which PSU I should use for this build, so any advice on that matter will be greatly appreciated too!

My budget is around 1800 euro's (~$2325), but the build I described above costs about 1400 euro's (~$1800) in the Netherlands, so I still have a lot of flexibility when it comes to changing components.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions! :)

With z97 you should get the 4690k over the 4670k and if you're only gaming at 1080p a 290x is overkill a 280x or 290 will do great

Hey firo40, thanks for the quick reply! I plan on using this pc for about 3-4 years, so I'd like it to be as "future proof" as possible (within the budget range of course). My thought behind the 290X was the performance at 4k resolution, because I might buy a 4k monitor within a year or two.

Will it still be overkill?

No if its meant to last that long in fact 2 290x's wouldn't be overkill for 4k. 4k is extremely hard graphically

Thanks a lot! I'll keep the 290x in it then :)
