Good evening guys. Really big fan of this forum over the years and I appreciate the help in advance.

I've been having issues with my RAM and Motherboard. I noticed the new mobo I purchased doesn't harness my RAMS' full capabilities at default settings. I was getting maybe a quarter of the performance out of them. So I went into bios and chose the XMP profile that would raise the frequency up to 1866 which is what my memory kit is capable of. It runs stable and I can definitely notice the difference when I'm gaming and I love it. But when I restart or shut down and power on. My rig, it fails to boot sometimes and it takes multiple restarts to boot back into windows. So my question is. What settings should i tweak to make my rig run stable while harnessing the full capabilities of my ram? Spec Below:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 SIX CORE SOCKET AM3+

RAM: G-SKILL SNIPER SERIES 2X8GB DDR3 1866 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

MOBO: ASROCK 990 FX KILLER

GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 760 4GB DDR3

SSD: 2 SAMSUNG 840 EVO

OS: WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL 64BIT

Thanks again guys.

This is from the GSKILL boards - http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=11742

You might need to raise the voltage and check the other settings....

Thanks Ron! So in essence I'm technically "Overclocking" even tho I'm only raising it to the supported settings? Just seems weird

Try raising the DRAM voltage + 0.05 and the CPU/NB voltage about the same to start

Thanks guys!!! The link ron posted suggested the exact intructions that you suggested tradesman. I changed the CPU/NB voltage by .1 and as of now it is running fine and no issues with power up and restart. Gonna run a memtest soon

Hmm I'm now having the same problems again with the mobo splash screen. I raised the CPU/NB voltage but not the DRAM voltage. I'll try that and see if that works
