I just built a 1k gaming PC last summer and recently the internet isn't working. It's hardwired and I tested this laptop using the ethernet cord and it works great. I swapped the cable and nothing happened. Thus proving that the wall connection and the cable work 100%. When I use the windows trouble-shooter it tells me that I need to plug an ethernet cable into the computer, which I clearly am. Sometimes in the past i'd get DC'ed from counter strike games, wiggle the ethernet cable, then reconnect working fine. Any ideas? The computer boots up and works fine, minus internet.

This is for school thanks!

Solution
Check if your ethernet card is working properly in Control Panel, Device Manager.

If you still can't get it working, buy a pcie ethernet card eg http://www.newegg.com/global/au/Network-Interface-Cards/SubCategory/ID-27?

Ah lol I forgot about that one. So the ethernet connection was disabled for some reason and I enabled it and now it works. Howerver, the Teredo TUnneling Pseudo-Interface "cannot be start". I dont care if it doesnt work because now it works lol.
