Why windows does not boot after 2-3 restarts ?

Windows does not boot after 2-3 restarts.Why ?
I am using my old hard disk with new config. ie. Mobo,cpu,and ram and ya i have installed a fresh os on my hdd.
But still after some time windows 8 wont boot and wont repair also.
Cpu-amd a8 6600k
Mobo-Asus a58m-e33
Ram-Kingston hyperx fury 1866
Look this is my first pc build.so i need help.
I did following:
Placed psu sata to hdd and dvd and then their sata cable to mobo.all other cables are on right place i guess. Moreover something like uefi hdd was 1st in boot priority,could that be the reason ?

Look friend i see hdd in my bios,and the installation was well as well as i have performed it about 10 times.
What happened to me about 10 min ago.?
I changed the boot priority order from uefi hdd to wd hdd(my hdd),and then windows repeated same problem.

I didnt get what you mean by did your pc post w/o hdd in it ?
One thing i want to tell you that one thing is common for every windows fail. The thing is i installed amd catalyst and after that (not exactly just after it) the windows failed.
