I recently got a t3500 dell, was wanting to add a couple more hdd to it. That is where the problems started. After installing the hdd, started getting beeps at startup and now the system will show the dell logo, but will not boot into windows. Lights 1,2,3 are on and there is 2 beeps. After that nothing.Any ideas?

The beeps indicate a hardware fault. The lights on the front are POST diagnostic lights, but 3 on and 1 off just show as "reserved" on the dell website for the T3500, but for the T3400 it indicates a possible HDD/CDDVD fault.

The beep code indicates that a memory fault may have occurred also.

Make sure that the HDD cables are plugged in fully and in the correct ports on the motherboard and the HDD itself. Reseating the RAM if that fails might also resolve the issue. If that doesn't resolve the issue then do the same with the CPU.

okay, so here is an update. I disconnected the other 3 hdd, (2 are pulls from other systems and one was a new 4tb hdd) disconnected and reconnected the primary drive and reseated the ram. The system now boots up, not sure which of the extra hdd was the culprit. Connected all drives except for the 4tb drive, I suspect it pulls too much power, and the system booted up just fine with the exception that it only sees one of the extra drives. Will have to pull and test the drive it is not seeing

still get a single beep at start up, it repeats, think it is the drive it cannot see?

update: have yet to pull the drive the system is not seeing but found out the bios was not updated and thus could not see the 4tb drive, for some reason that was blocking it from booting
