I would be now upgrading my pc that can play games like BF4 and I'm planning to upgrade my ram to 8gig. I already have 4gig right now, its KVR1333D3N9/4G and it's 1 year old on my pc.
I'm planning to buy 1pcs more of this making it 8gig overall

here is the product looks like:
KVR1333D3N9/4G

I'm worried that they are old that It can't handle games like BF4.
Do I have to replace my current RAM? I'm on tight budget since I'm also replacing my GPU, CPU and PSU.

More about : replace ram bf4

that's nonsense. if it's the same stuff buy another stick if you want it. won't hurt anything.

Good possibility it will play w/ the old, but no guarantee, any time you mix sticks from different packages, even the same exact model, it can be and often is problematic...there are tons of threads of people mixing DRAM and having problems I help or try and help a few every day

you're scaring the guy. same ram, shouldn't be any problems. and it's not "old" as OP has alluded. and you should be worried whether your cpu and gpu can handle the game. not the ram. as a matter of fact you could conceivably run BF4 on a 4gig stick with no problems. just don't run any apps in the background.

Maybe Tradesman is scaring the guy, but he's right. Same model RAM sticks from different packages
sometimes don't operate correctly with each other.

Yep, happens all the time, I help people every day that have mixed DRAM from ifferent packages - which is why DRAM is available is such a variety of sets (and guaranteed to play in a set), sticks in a packaged are tested to play together.
