So i recently bought a radeon 7850 2gb to pair with my A6 3620 (2.2ghz) but im not getting a big fps boost and Battlefield 3 MP and euro truck 2 have major fps drops, euro truck 2 isnt even playable. Do i need to get a new cpu to take advantage of this card?

More about : somthing wrong gpu cpu

There should be a bottleneck, it shouldn't be that big though. What are your fps while on bf3 and at what settings ? also what are the temps and usage for both gpu and cpu

On operation firestorm i get 60 fps when nothing is going on, 40 when some things are on the screen, all the way down to the low 20s during major firefights, on Casipan Border i get 40 fps when nothing is happening but the frame rate drops below 20 during firefights. Is that normal with this CPU? By the way this is my computer only thing i swapped was the PSU and the GPU (cosiar 430x) and Saphire MSI radeon 7850 2gb OC edition http://www.cnet.com/products/acer-aspire-m3470g-uw10p-a... Gpu temps were at 52 C i dont know how to check CPU temp while running a game

What the? Are you crossfireing these? If so you can only cross fire like GPUs or does the A6 3620 use the same GPU as the 7850?

It's okay mate nothing is wrong with your system. I get those drops when fire scenes and familiar things even on bf4 on the same map and other ones too. Your fps while playing is alright. Check gpu and cpu usage on euro truck.

sorry i should have phrased that better I wasnt cross firing them, On Euro Truck 2 i get 15 fps in citys and 20-60 on regular roads on high (really jerky) at 1080p however my cpu usage stays around 90% Temps stayed around the 50's. Im just wondering cause the games recommended specs call for a 3.0 ghz quad core but people have told me it isnt necessary.

Download MSI afterburner and enable monitoring, you will see the gpu usage there.

Or as JimF_35 said, gpu-z would do it too.

GPU did not go above 25% :o  Cpu peaks at 80% out side citys after i retested it. With after burner On Screen display my fps only goes from 24-30 outside citys. I was expecting much higher.

That is the problem then, for a reason the game isn't using your gpu. I saw a lot of people having your issue and no one found a solution. I'd try to mess with the graphics setting to make it better, it's just the game's fault not yours and i don't seem to find a patch or a fix to it :/  Sorry.
