I have two internal drives which is labeled disk 0 and the other one is labeled disk 1. I had Windows XP installed on disk 0. The second one was out of my external drive but installed as disk 1. After reinstalling Windows XP on disk 0 from another XP disk than what was originally on disk 0. I cannot read the files on disk 1. This says this disk needs to be formatted. Disk 1 was not messed with during the installation of Windows XP. What can I do to get my computer to read the files on disk 1 which should be on their.

Well you are supposed to disconnect any secondary hard drives before installing Windows, but I actually think it was just a coincidence your second drive going belly up on this occasion.
