The 2TB Black costs $150. A 1tb blue costs $60 while a 1tb black costs $80, totaling $140, $10 cheaper. I am buying a 250gb SSD for programs/OS and a 3TB Red for backup. Should I get 2 1tb or 1 2tb?
I went for Toshiba 3 TB 7200 rpm SATA III/6 GB/s drive for $100 - $110 range myself. I have two in my case now and they are really good. I would recommend them over the other options. Just my two cents anyway.
Raid 0 is useless..just for benchmark, but for daily app, it's actually slower than single drive..
more harddrive (almost) means more reliability..you can double your (very important) data in both harddrive. so if, one of your drive fall, you still have your data..
and of course, black for system, and blue for data..
you can put pagefile, tempfile to second drive (blue) and it's will make your system faster..
