I was messing around trying to overclock my 1090t (thuban) to 4ghz at least , finally got it there with 1.552v core and was able to run prime 95 successfully with no errors for 30 minutes with a max temp of 60c mostly ranging from 53-55c max range , i set my ram timings to 1333mhz @ 8-9-9-27 @ auto voltage , and didnt mess with htt link or fsb clocks or voltage all left on auto , i do not want to toy with them , my question is , i heard these msi 890fxa-g70 boards have problems with vrm and dying from overclocks , now i am able to play everygame and used it for a full day without the least bit of problem or unstability , will i have a warning like unstability or random crashes before something like the vrm modules fail ? or will it just die suddenly and ill be out of a mobo. and will my cpu still be fine if mobo fails , i want to know because i want to keep it here and not take the risk of it just suddenly dying from 1.552v and no chance for me to underclock it before it dies , just need to know if i wil have a warning like crashes , please someone answer,

It will crash or freeze without warning.

that doesn't answer my question , but thanks for trying , i was wanting to know if it would crash before my mobo would just die , so i would have time to reset to default before damaging.

You won`t have the time to change anything.

1.552 is high for your cpu. I have read that most/all msi motherboards have lousy vrm.
