How much RAM (not Vram) does 1080p games take up?

I already saw threads, reviews, benchmarks about how much Vram being used on maxed out 1080p games. How about physical memory?

I'm sorry if the question sounds dumb.

That's the game's fault though. If he wants to play crap games like watchdogs then i don't even now that 16GB of ram and a 780ti would make it smooth.

Yeah, but Ubisoft's Anvil Engine has memory leaks the size of houses, it's really a potato of an engine. 16GB wouldn't be enough either if they'd benchmarked for longer than 15 minutes, and it's simply because the engine doesn't know when it's supposed to un-load old data. This is also the same team that uses VRAM as if it was RAM, further breaking the memory handling of their games. Nothing's fixing that engine. Not worth even considering it for RAM requirements. The only time Ubisoft's games run well is when they're using the Dunia 2 Engine, and despite being created mostly by veterans of Crytek, the Dunia 2 still can't make up for Ubisoft's adorably stupid optimization.

Games that aren't broken (ie, aren't riddled with memory leaks) I've never seen exceed 5GB.
