I got a few questions:

What is your operating system and what (if any) errors did you get on the BSOD ?
What thermal solution did you use ?
What made you change the thermal paste and did you clean the old one all the way ?
What are your idle temps (CPU and GPU) ?

Also, are you using a laptop ? (since you replaced the GPU's paste...)

I may have forgotten some...

1) Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and im not sure what to look for, nothing came up when i went back into windows if thats what your asking
2) MX-4 (real stuff lol)
3) wanted a reduction in temps basically and yes 100%, checked and checked again
4) 18 degrees cpu, 57 GPU (i have amd 8320 and amd r9 290)

If you need anymore info just ask :)

Thanks for the reply

Dont know if you solved the problem but did you lose any of the thermal pads on the gpu heatsink. That will cause it to overheat quick

turns out, after i read the .dmp file about the bsod it was an ati driver file, so i replaced the gpu drivers with the latest ones, and it works a treat now! Thanks for your help though, that was my first worry, i never checked it, but seems the gpu is fine so its okay, thanks though!
